1959 Fort Worth, Texas Public School Vocational Nurse Graduation Pin

Description

ARTIFACT: This beautiful nursing pin is made of gold filled and is in the shape of an circle. In the center of the pin is a cross and a lamp of knowledge. Around this are two circles, the innermost reading FORT WORTH PUBLIC SCHOOL and the outermost reading GRADUATE VOCATIONAL NURSE. Engraved on the reverse of the pin are the initials of the original recipient and her year of graduation. It reads: L.S. 1959.
VINTAGE: Ca. 1959.
SIZE: Approx. 1" in diameter.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: 10 karat gold-filled with green and white enameling.
ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with "drop-in" locking catch.
MARKINGS: HALTOM GF.

CONDITION: 7.5 (Fine-Very Fine): The pin is in good shape except for one small scratch to the right of center. Minor tarnish and storage wear is present.
