, India changed to Decimal coinage- 1 Rupee, 50 Paise, 25 Paise, 20 Paise, 10 Paise, 5 Paise, 3 Paise, 2 Paise and 1 Paisa. India issued a big and heavy coin of Rupee one -

., from 1962 to 1970. In between, India also issued Commemorative coins of One Rupee
