Sand Pail Santite Sand Box Sand, Mix with Sand and Molds like Clay! MIP! 1950's

Description

Offered is a very unusual Sand Pail item.  It is a product called "Santite" and it comes in this cone shaped package.  I believe this item is from the 1950's.  The package reads "Mixed With Sand It Molds Like Clay".  It also reads that the color is "Blue".  It reads "Perfect For Use In Sand Box".  It was Produced by the "Gem Color Co. Patterson, N.J".  The top resembles the old milk bottle cardboard tops and it reads "Made in U.S.A. (although there is a price sticker paper rip here), Plastic Top For Measuring".  The back of the container has directions on how to mix the San-Tite.  It reads "San-Tite is harmless and stainless, Product of Gem Color Co."  The container measures about 4 1/4" tall.  The graphics on the from of the container feature a boy kneeling in the sand as he builds a Sand Castle.  There are a few Sand Pails pictured.  The container reads "Designed by Luchland".  The container is nice but has a few dents and age staining to it.  It has a waxy like finish to it, like the old milk cartons used to have.  A neat, vintage Sand Pail item to add to your collection.
